Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a form of psychotherapy that uses relaxing eye movements to erase and replace painful images, emotions, and sensations. Some people compare it to the more widely known EMDR, but many clients see results with ART after just 1-3 sessions.

ART works by reprogramming how distressing memories are stored in the brain so that they no longer trigger strong physical and emotional reactions. Clients can choose to not share any details of what they’re processing.

Accelerated resolution therapy is an evidence-based therapy that is covered by insurance.

ART has been proven to be effective when treating trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, poor self-esteem, sexual abuse, and many other issues. If you have a primary therapist and feel stuck, ART can be used to help bypass that mental block and you can continue traditional talk therapy with your therapist.

I typically conduct an intake session where we review your history and what's been going on for you prior to starting ART. If you have another therapist that you see regularly we can start with ART at our first session together.

I only conduct Accelerated Resolution Therapy in person with clients (aged 18-99) at my office located in Downtown St. Petersburg, Florida.

If you want to learn more about ART before trying it out, watch a TED Talk by the founder at the link here.
